We use certain key terms in our Privacy Policy that are helpful to understand as you review our practices:

  • Customers/Users include Kids, Parents and Educators.
  • Children are minors (ages 18 and younger) who use leapseed’s services.
  • Parents are the parents or legal guardians of the Children.
  • Educators are skilled and dedicated individuals who guide learners/children in acquiring knowledge, they may be part of schools, institutes, any educational organization or certified freelancers.
  • Partners are third-party companies, such as schools, technology vendors, employers, or non-profit organizations, that work with us and are not considered “Educators.”
  • Services refer to our online services and options for engagement on the leapseed, which includes our website, applications, devices, and other offerings
  • Personal Information/Data refers to information linked or reasonably linkable to an identified or identifiable individual.

Children Information for leapseed’s Privacy Policy

A. Note to Parents

To ensure the protection of children’s personal information, particularly for users under 13 (or as specified by law), leapseed complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), U.S. and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), along with other applicable global laws. We also assist schools in meeting their obligations under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

For users identified as children, leapseed offers limiting certain features on its platform, which include blocking or restricting data collection or sharing, and preventing interaction with other users.

In compliance with applicable laws, we may collect children’s Personal Information as described in this Privacy Policy and may use, disclose, and process it accordingly. If we learn that we have unintentionally collected information from a child in violation of relevant laws, we will promptly delete it. Children’s personal information is retained only as long as necessary to fulfill its intended purpose and is deleted with reasonable safeguards against unauthorized access. C. Parental Rights and Consents

We empower Parents to exercise their legal rights under laws such as COPPA. At any time, Parents may: (i) manage their child’s access to Services via their parent account; (ii) review or correct their child’s personal information; and/or, (iii) discontinue further collection, use, or disclosure of their child’s personal information. Parents may also request deletion of their child’s account directly through their parent account or by contacting us at contact@leapseed.co. leapseed complies with COPPA and GDPR by requiring verified parental consent for collecting personal information from children. Verification methods may include credit card verification, Phone numbers, emails, additional security questions or steps to confirm the parent’s identity before responding to a request to review or delete their child’s information or refuse further data collection.

  • Referral Data: We collect information on your referrals when you share referral codes and invite others to join the Services.
  • Online Survey Data: To improve our Services, we use surveys that ask visitors for feedback, suggestions, and input to enhance their experience.
  • Customer Support Data: When contacting customer support, you may provide details like your name, email, or phone number. This data helps us verify your identity and resolve inquiries or issues.
  • Sensitive Data: Sensitive data is treated with high caution and we will never ask or require any child to provide any kind of sensitive data. And any sensitive data entered by children, we highly recommend the parents to review and manage these data themselves. Sensitive data from children is handled following COPPA and other applicable regulations.
  • Fraud: To ensure safety, we may ask for proof of age or identity if we suspect a misrepresentation.

In all cases, we collect only the data necessary to provide the Services and achieve our business objectives. If specific data is not provided, certain features of the Services may be unavailable.

Retention of Information

Additionally, we retain usage information from the Services for internal analysis, which generally is kept for a shorter period. However, if this data contributes to enhancing security, improving Service functionality, or fulfilling legal requirements, it may be retained for longer durations.

International Transfer of Information

Leapseed operates from the UAE under a U.S.-based company structure (Leapseed, Co.), with users anticipated from diverse global locations. Additionally, we collaborate with third-party analytics and advertising vendors in different countries, along with local vendors in multiple  regions as well as support services. This list may not cover all locations, and not all personal information is shared across each country listed.

If you access our Services from outside the UAE or United States, please be aware that data collected through the Services may be transferred across borders, moving from your country to other jurisdictions, including the United States and UAE. Note that data protection laws in these countries may differ from those in your country of residence.

You retain ownership of your Personal Information and any content you create. When shared or posted on our platform, you grant us a limited license to use and process this content in order to provide the required services and you have the right to delete it through your account any time.

However, because the Internet cannot be entirely secure, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you provide to us.

To further secure your account, you can manage your profile settings, including setting up password-protected access between the child account and Parent account, allowing you greater control over who can access your account.
